At DEEP WOODS we are looking for the new boy who wants an active summer spent in the outdoors learning new skills, gaining new self confidence, and developing self reliance. The DEEP WOODS boy is one who wants to breathe the fresh air of the mountains; to explore the wilderness of the high country; to cook his own meals over an open fire and sleep under the stars; to try his hand at canoeing rivers that rush; to discover his own potential and add to his own skills; to know the creatures and plants of the forest; to experience that tired feeling at the end of a long day's trip, dozing off by the embers of a dying fire to the tune of a thousand night sounds; to enjoy the close companionship of other boys who share the same desire for a unique summer activity and adventure.
DEEP WOODS is a camp with a specialized and active summer of outdoor activity, designed to appeal to that special boy who is anxious to grow. Our emphasis is on growth, fun and adventure.
